APPLIED RESEARCH AT THE CENTRE FOR HOSPITALITY STUDIES AND RESEARCH

CHSR has adopted an experiential/work-integrated learning approach, which allows students to apply concepts from the classroom to real-world situations. A range of techniques are employed as illustrated in the figure above. In a typical day students will move from the classroom to a problem solving team effort to a work situation to a community-based exercise. Courses will be guided by industry professionals will also have academic experience. All instructors will meet the requirements set out by the Alberta Ministry of Advanced Education.
